lapão cave

Probably the largest quartz cave in South America with a very large and impressive exit. 1 km inside the cave from entrance to exit. From the exit either return by the same trail or follow the river bed back to Lençóis (only in dry weather).

It is possible to do absailing/rapel at the cave mouth or in an opening in the cave in the cave roof, 48m and 42m respectively. It may not be possible to go right through the cave if the river level is very high.
